Orff Kodaly for Advanced Preschoolers/Kindergarteners/Grade 1 mixed age group (Saturdays): 4, 5 or 6 by Dec 31st 2025 – 1hr

In this fun interactive class your child will build upon their musical knowledge through singing, chanting, movement, playing non-pitched percussion instruments, imaginative play, and more. We will explore musical concepts such as rhythm, beat, pitch (solfege – do re mi’s), timbre, improvisation, dynamics, tempo, etc.

Based upon the philosophies of Carl Orff and Zoltan Kodaly, your child’s musical experience will be intensified through improvisation, musical games, structured & non-structured instrument play & creative movement, accompanied & non-accompanied singing, allowing them to discover elements of music in a variety of ways. We will be using a variety of non-pitched and pitched percussion instruments in class, including xylophones.

Each week, you will receive a song sheet with a new song and relevant musical concepts.

Children must be 4,5 or 6 years old by Dec 31, 2025.

2026 Spring Term Classes:

Saturdays 10:00am -11:00am, Apr 11th – Jun  20th (No class May 16th ) 2025 with Justin at St. Catherine’s Church (Edgemont Village)

 Cost: $215.00/10 classes.

Registration is on-going. Fees will be prorated accordingly after start of term.
